Parties: Jonathan Watson of Crossgill in the parish of Alston, gentleman of the one part and Joseph Little of Garragill Gate in the said parish, , yeoman; Thomas Greenwell also of Garragill Gate, blacksmith; John Atkinson of Shield Hill in the said parish, miner; John Henderson of Crossgill in the aforesaid parish, miner; Jonathan Davidson of Craig in the said parish, miner; Joseph Stephenson of Welfill Dykeheads in the said parish, miner; Forster Cain of Nenthead in the said parish, miner; John Nattrass also of Nenthead, miner and John Havelock also of Nenthead, miner of the other part. Consideration: three pounds. 2) Deed of 1 Oct 1885 relating to a mortgage of the above land. Parties: John Henderson of Allendale Town in the parish of Allendale in the county of Northumberland, gentleman of the first part and Joseph Watson formerly of Crossgill in the parish of Alston but now of Newton Reigny near Penrith, gentleman of the second part and Isaac Craig of Shield Hill in the said parish of Alston, blacksmith; Jonathan Carr of Bunker Hill in the said parish, farmer; John Wilkinson formerly of Howgill Syke in the said parish but now of High Galligill also in the said parish, farmer; John Swindle of Low Houses in the said parish, farmer; Benjamin Holmes formerly of Garrigill Gate in the said parish but now of Cleator Moor, iron ore miner; John Swindle formerly of Garrigill Gate aforesaid but now of Beldy in the said parish of Alston, lead ore miner; Joseph Craig formerly of Middle Houses in the said parish but now of Low Lee House, farmer; Ralph Armstrong of Ashgill in the said parish, farmer and Thomas Dowson formerly of Force Green in the said parish but now of Garrigill Gate aforesaid' lead ore miner (chapel trustees) Consideration: ten shillings
