ContextThere have been three county clubs, the first of which was established in 1884 and lasted for just six years. The Club was then revived in 1909 and continued until 1930 . These records do not relate to the current club, which was founded in 1948 as the Cumberland and Westmorland County Cricket Club, changing it's name to the Cumberland County Cricket Club upon being elected to join the Minor Counties League in 1955.
