ContextJosiah Hall's premises were on Main Street, Cockermouth where Tarantella's restaurant now is [2014]. Mr Hall (c1851-1921) was a local Quaker, living at Elmhurst, Cockermouth. He was followed into the grocery business by one of his sons, Richard Watson Hall (1882-1935), known as Dick.
